Defining support levels for different users

Lets say you have basically for category of website visitors.
For example 1 category are visitors (People just watching your website)
2-nd category are users (with account but not active)
3-rd category are customers (users with account that are doing some turnover)
4-th category are VIP customers (customers with significant turnover)

For example a parameter from backend may be passed to livezilla script to determine level of visitor/user/customer/VIP customer.
